Laura Coby is a first year PhD student in the English department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She studies avant-garde & absurdist drama, focusing on performance studies and queer and feminist theory. Her one-act Meet the Bradleys was the only play written by an undergraduate to be performed by The University of Alabama Theatre & Dance department. She is a dramaturg and most recently worked on The Brown Theatre Collective’s Production of María Irene Fornés’s The Successful Life of 3. She is also the Editorial Assistant for the T. S. Eliot Studies Annual. Laura is obsessed with the art of Samuel Beckett, Félix González-Torres, & Roland Barthes.
