Alicia O. De León is an artist, educator, and scholar, working through her second year in the Master's of Art Education program at the U of I. Her multidisciplinary practice includes examining Latin American artesanías and aesthetics, questioning hierarchized artistic practices through educative and experimental interventions, and explorations of social tension. In her free time, she enjoys critically engaging with Spongebob Squarepants and delights in her succulent plant surviving another day.
